Day in Life: Morning Routine

This is very close to finish. Debating about some effects that I've included and if I should add more or not.

Day in Life Progress Work

*Please take a look to my 3 previous posts beforehand.

Title Sequence

For the title sequence, I'm trying to mimic the sun rising in the peak of the morning hours. Toward the end of this title sequence, the black box is imitating as my eyes blinking and opening as I wake up. The black box is a filler for the stop motion that I'm going to included.

Stop Motion Test

This is a stop motion test and example of how I am approaching this project. Almost every scene will be in my perspective as you can see in this video.

Final Project Storyboard

Role Reversal: Getting up and getting ready (stop motion)

Here is story board of role reversal between a boy and a girl getting up and getting ready. The girl takes her time while the boy impatiently waits. When she was ready, he was challenged her and the role is reversed. As she waits, he gets ready within 10 minutes. The end result was not pretty.

Project 4 Ideas

Role Reversal example:

I'm still in the process of developing two different roles where they/he/she have to switch. Here are some of the following roles:

Girl vs. Boys: Getting up and getting ready for the day

What girls can do together vs. What boys can do together

My mom's daily life vs. My daily life

etc.

etc.

etc.

PSA Soundtrack

Here is a soundtrack I'm going to use for my PSA on bullying. It's a mashup of "Stop Bullying Spoken Word" by SpokenWisdom on youtube and "To Build a Home" by the Cinematic Orchestra.

Conformity has become the norm
And if you fall outside its folds
Prepare for the endless barrage
of harsh words and hard blows
It's like a continuous montage
I mean, do you even know
The kind of pain they go through?
Emotional torture.
All so that some people could have
Something to laugh about,
Something to make them feel like they fit in
They laugh, they point, and they grin.
But I'm about to heat up
No more will I take this
Sitting down
Naw, my feet are going to be up
Marching till we have won
And by we, I mean anyone who has ever been
Degraded, humiliated, or neglected
For their faith, appearance, or intellect
Because no matter what they say
You
Are
Beautiful

Project 3: Separating Layers

Here I am separating the first scene using Photoshop into 3-4 layers so I can animate them in After Effects. It's a rough example of what I'm going to do for the rest of the scenes in the previous post.

Project 3 Examples & Progess Work

Here is the sequential storyboard of my anti-bullying PSA created using Premiere.

Here are some examples of images that I'm planning to use for my PSA. Over fall break, I'm planning to take some photos of my little cousin holding a stop sign in different scenes, such as in the school hallway and at the park. I'll cut out him out of a photo using photoshop and place him in the last scene where he stands at the edge of a skyscraper.

Here is a tutorial that I did where I used still images and make them relevant to 3D space. It's a really rough example of how I'm going to use the photographs I'm taking to captivate my anti-bullying PSA.

This a really rough example of how the ending of my PSA is going to be like. From beginning to end, there will be certainly a song/music playing in the background to add intensity to the PSA.

Project 2 Interstitial Final

Concept: When people ask me what who I am and what I do, I tell them that I'm an artist/designer. They'll nod their head and just say, "That's cool!" Although I'm part of this big world, what I have to offer is unique. I am a person that crosses back and forth from one culture to another. From the knowledge that I gained throughout my life because of it, I've gained insights and incorporated pieces of it into each individual work. I use my multicultural background to separate myself from everyone else when it comes to this big art and design world. Thus, I am individualistic.
